Three firefighters were injured battling a two-alarm bakery fire in California on Thursday.
The blaze broke out just before 8 p.m. at Bimbo Bakery in Montebello, KTLA-TV reports. As many as 50 workers were inside the bakery when a hopper caught fire, and they were able to escape the burning building before crews arrived.
One firefighter suffered a soft tissue injury while battling the blaze, and another was treated for heat exhaustion at the scene. A third firefighter suffered an electrical shock, and video footage from a KCBS-TV helicopter showed paramedics wheeling an individual on a gurney and placing that person in an ambulance.
Crews had the fire under control in about an hour, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation, KTLA added.
